I thank God everytime when thinking of Mexicali. I am grateful for Pastor Karlson and C Mo. Gratitude is to see God’s work from them, and also to see what it means to persevere in practicing the calling from God that delivered to them at one time. In my memory through our two times short term missions, we saw what is the example of a service’s work. Although Pastor Karlson diagnosed serious cancer, this did not affect their faith and altitude towards this mission. Despite full of hardship and difficulties, they overcome all these by God’s given faith. After years of challenges, they founded Mexicali Chinese Baptist Church there and have a lots of blessings to people.

I remember what Psalm 90:15-17 in the Bible :

15Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.

16May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children.

17May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.

想到墨西卡利，腦海中就為潘牧師潘師母宣教士感恩！感恩是從他們身上看見神的工作，也看見甚麽是堅毅的實践主耶稣一次交付他們的召命。

印象中的两次短宣，使我們看見了僕人的服事，病勢不輕的潘牧師，分享了神的呼召，其中一句充满對神的信、望、愛的異像：我没有聽到神要我們離開墨西卡利的宣教工作。真的！也因他和師母對神的信念，經過多年的艱辛，墨西卡利華人浸信會成為當地的祝福。

 

願主繼續祝福，詩篇 90:15-17説得好: 

15 求 你 照 著 你 使 我 們 受 苦 的 日 子 ， 和 我 們 遭 難 的 年 歲 ， 叫 我 們 喜 樂 。

16 願 你 的 作 為 向 你 僕 人 顯 現 ； 願 你 的 榮 耀 向 他 們 子 孫 顯 明 。

17 願 主 ─ 我 們 神 的 榮 美 歸 於 我 們 身 上 。 願 你 堅 立 我 們 手 所 做 的 工 ； 我 們 手 所 做 的 工 ， 願 你 堅 立 。
